Sci-Fi and Classic Crime

I’m happy to announce that my short story “Sky and the Wheelchair” kicks off the newest issue of Galaxy’s Edge (#41). The story will be accessible for a short time online and in print forever.

Just yesterday I stopped by Haslam’s, my favorite St. Pete bookstore, and found a copy of the first Travis McGee novel by John D. MacDonald, The Deep Blue Good-By. I believe this beat up old 1964 copy is a first paperback edition from Fawcett Publications, with a cover price of 40 cents!

Since both these items arrived in my life on the same day, I officially proclaim November 16 as National Sci-Fi Classic Crime Day. Let’s see how far we get with that.

Subscribe to Galaxy’s Edge!

The magazine consistently publishes terrific science fiction and fantasy, original and reprint stories, online and in print. It’s a great investment.
